This trip to the small city of Trujillo will definitely be one of my fondest memories of my time in Honduras. It started with Leslie's family, the American missionary family that is staying here for a month, and me, all piled into an old school bus for 8 hours on a windy, bumpy road until we reached the north coast. Then we met Leslie's parents and the rest of her family-they are all such wonderful people! A woman and her three children shared the same room-the same bed-just so I could have a place to sleep at night. And her brother Marvin's family is so sweet! Both parents are pastors; their oldest son wants to become a medical missionary to Africa, and their two younger sons want to become pastors. We got to visit their church three times this weekend. The church is located between a bar and a club; on their back door you can see nine bullet holes from where a fight broke out outside their church one night. At the front of the church is a large basket that everyone helps fill with food all month, and then it is given to somebody who needs a little help. During the last service Marvin announced that we were officially on their attendance list as lifetime members of their church. I have never met a more welcoming congregation, and it was such an honor to worship with them! Please pray for this amazing group of people and for this growing church.
Here are some pictures of the trip:

After a great trip like that, it will be hard to go back to work at the school! With a mission team here the first week and a trip to Trujillo the second week, I still haven't gotten a feel for what exactly I will be doing here on an everyday basis, but God has definitely been showing me new things about life on the mission field! Thanks for all the prayers, and I will update you guys again soon!
